The program is open to individuals aged 5+.
\nWe have a variety of a daptive bikes and trikes that are available for registered participants. A daptive bikes come in all shapes and sizes\, from bicycles-built-for-two\, a tandem\, for riders who are visually impaired to handcycles for those r iders with mobility impairments.
\nChildren\, youth and adult bikes are available. We will provide printed registration forms on the opening n ight for anyone interested.

Aqua-Abilities is a program designed for chi ldren between the ages of 5-17 living with a physical or intellectual disa bility. During this 8-week program\, children will be provided with the o pportunity to learn how to swim at their own pace with the guidance of a c ertified swim instructor.
\nThis program is offered at the Bell Alia nt Centre and Credit Union Place throughout the fall and winter months.
\nFall Programs starts September 13th\, 2025 and runs for 8 weeks until November 1st\, 2025.
\nSchedule: Saturdays\, 1:00 – 1:30 PM (G roup 1) and 1:30-2:00 PM (Group 2)

\nA dvanced Aqua-Abilities is the next level of swimming lessons for children with a disability offered by ParaSport and Recreation PEI. This program fo cuses on how to swim. Skills that are taught are forward and backwards pro pulsion\, kicking with and without a board\, entry into deep water\, tread ing water in shallow and deep water\, etc. Graduates from this program wil l be able to move on to a pre-competitive swim program or the Lifesaving S ociety’s Swimmer Level 4. This program is taught over 8 weeks in a small g roup setting. Prerequisites: Completion of Aqua-Abilities or Swimmer Level 1.
