ParaSport and Recreation PEI has partnered with Cycling PEI and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind PEI Chapter to offer a 12-week cycling program for individuals with a physical disability. The program is open to individuals aged 5+. We have a variety of adaptive bikes and trikes that are available for registered participants. Adaptive bikes come in all shapes and sizes, from bicycles-built-for-two, a tandem, for riders who are visually impaired to handcycles for those riders with mobility impairments. Children, youth and adult bikes are available. We will provide printed registration forms on the opening night for anyone interested.
Para Cycling Program
The Paracycling Program is offered every summer between July and September. Athletes participate in weekly bike rides of various distances (5-10-15-20 km). There are several competitive opportunities offered throughout the summer for those athletes that are interested. Please check back for registration information on our 2025 summer paracycling program.
