ParaSport and Recreation PEI is pleased to present a “See Yourself Swimming” Clinic on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 6:00-7:30 PM at the CARI Complex. The clinic is designed to introduce people with a physical or visual disability, to the sport of swimming. The clinic is also a great opportunity for parents to learn more about the sport of competitive swimming and to what ParaSport and Recreation PEI and local swim clubs have to offer.
The clinic will be led by Janet Dunn, Para-Development Coach with Swimming Canada. Janet is a pediatric rehabilitation physiotherapist and has been involved with parasport for over 40 years. Janet was a coach on Canada’s Paralympic teams in 1984, 1988 and 2012 in wheelchair athletics and swimming. She has been Swimming Canada’s National Development Para-Swimming Coach since 2009, helping athletes prepare for London 2012 and Rio 2016. We are very excited to have Janet lead the session on the 12th, along with our local para-coaches/instructors.
For more information regarding the clinic, please contact the ParaSport and Recreation PEI office at 902-368-4540 or email tracy@parasportpei.ca.
