Ever wondered what adaptive sailing looks like? Now’s your chance to check it out — and maybe even get inspired to try it yourself!
Come down to the waterfront and witness the Martin 16 adaptive sailboat on the dock. This unique vessel is designed for people with upper or lower limb restrictions, making sailing more accessible, inclusive, and fun for everyone.
Whether you’re a person with a disability, a family member, a curious onlooker, or just love the water — this is an amazing chance to see how adaptive sport makes waves and breaks barriers.
You’ll also get to learn more about the adaptive tech that makes it all possible, meet passionate community leaders, and find out how YOU can get involved.
Let’s raise the sails on inclusion and create more space for everybody to move, explore, and play.
This project is a collaboration between ParaSport and Recreation PEI, Abegweit AbleSail, Sail PEI, and the Charlottetown Yacht Club. Funding provided by ‘ParticipAction’.
