The First Annual Big Dog Convenience Night Dash Fundraiser was held on Friday, August 14, 2015at The Mount in Charlottetown. The Night Dash event was a new fundraising initiative of the organization to raise funds for its programs for Islanders with a physical disability. The inaugural event was a huge success raising approximately $7,000 for ParaSport and Recreation PEI programs!
The Night Dash saw 129 runners with headlamps, neon shirts and glow sticks, light up the streets of Charlottetown. Runners had the choice to participate in a 5 Km Walk/Run or a 10 Km Run. The routes took runners through the streets of Charlottetown and along the Confederation Trail. Following the run, participants were invited to stay for the “After Glow Party” where they danced to some tunes and enjoyed a beverage and a BBQ put on by the Parkdale Sherwood Lions Club.
ParaSport and Recreation PEI would like to extend a HUGE THANK-YOU to the title sponsors, Big Dog Convenience and Irving as well as other major contributors, The Mount, The Parkdale Sherwood Lions, Synergy Fitness and Nutrition and The Running Room.
